B. PREFERRED MATERIALS
     1. Macintosh electronic file complete with layout, fonts and
     supporting graphics files on CD-ROM or Zip disk
     2. Negatives, right reading emulsion side down

C. SCREEN RULINGS (All ads)
     1. Recommended: 150-line screen
     2. Acceptable: 133-line screen

D. DENSITY OF TONES (One- and two-color ads)
      1. Maximum: 190%
      2. Second color not to exceed 85% when overprinting the
      first color

E. DENSITY OF TONES (Four-color ads)
       Acceptable: 280% maximum

F. COLOR PROOFS
       1. Recommended: Matchprint on publication stock
       2. Acceptable: Pressmatch, Chromalin, Progressive on 
       No. 5 coated ground wood paper

G. DESIGN RECOMMENDATIONS
       1. Avoid placing text or graphics in the gutter. Please do not
       break type on gutter.
       2. In preparing copy, restrict thin lines and small lettering to
       one color.  Reproduce all reverse lettering with a minimum of
       colors.

Avoid small letters with fine serifs when using reverse lettering.

We prefer MAC format, but Windows-based files are usable. High-resolution files placed by the customer must have all color corrections/alterations done prior to releasing the electronic file to Pfingsten Publishing.  Save all images in CMYK mode.  We prefer EPS or TIFF files.  Hard copy proofs must accompany digital ads.  Four-color digital ads must have a press-ready color proof or we cannot guarantee color.

Provide all supports related to the electronic file (i.e., entire font families, hi-res images and logos).  Any third-party extension (i.e., Pasteboard) must accompany electronic files.

We cannot accept Corel, Microsoft Publisher or PowerPoint files.  These programs are not compatible with high-resolution output equipment. If you create files using one of these programs, please recreate in a program listed above or send film.

Files may be compressed with Stuffit or Disk Doubler.  Mark your media with a contact and return address so it can be returned upon completion.
