SITE LEAN MANUFACTURING LEADERS
Locations:  Wilmington or Durham, NC (351362); Hooksett, NH or Rutland, VT (351368); Baltimore, MD  (351374);  Lynn, MA (351376);  Madisonville, KY (351378).

GE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES (GETS)
A recently integrated GE Business that combined GE Aircraft Engines and GE Transportation Systems to serve the aviation, rail and off-highway, and marine industries.  Headquartered in Cincinnati, OH.

THE CHALLENGE
Reporting to the GETS Supply Chain Lean Leader with a dotted line relationship to the Site Plant Leader, will lead the Lean Manufacturing implementation for the a respective site or sites.   Will create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce inventory , lead time, and waste at the plant site and suppliers.  Will drive measurable improvements in productivity and product flow.  Will lead and support local plant lean manufacturing personnel in developing lean manufacturing strategy.  Will assist in lean plan execution by  directing Action Work-Outs, developing pull systems, training personnel and other activities to achieve world-class process flow.  Some travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Successful, achievement oriented experience with Production System techniques. Strong working knowledge of value stream mapping, one-piece flow, Action Work-Outs, DFT, 3P, and other lean tools in a manufacturing shop environment.  Demonstrated effective leadership, communication, team facilitation, and analytical problem solving skills.   Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated 6-Sigma execution or the ability to master and use quickly.  Relevant computer skills. Potential to move to positions of more responsibility.
